A geologic feature protrudes out of the rolling prairie that surrounds the Black Hills. Hundreds of parallel cracks make it one of the finest traditional crack climbing areas in North America. Devils Tower National Monument entices us to explore and define our place in the natural and cultural world.

Day 26: My morning run at Beavers Bend State Park included this scenery. Very inspirational.
Day 24: This is the best tree carving representing a state park you will ever see.
Day 22: Spending the evening among the tall pines at Beavers Bend Resort. The view from the deck at our house rental. Gorgeous.
Day 21: And there was much rejoicing by the children. Setting up the kid’s new PC tonight. Includes cool stuff like see-through side panel & blue LED fan in the front. My kids LOVE me.
